Transportation equipment. Up 27 cents, or 7.32 per cent, at $3.96 on 29,041,280 shares. Bombardier tried to reassure investors Thursday at their annual meeting that investments in a series of new planes and trains will eventually improve the manufacturer’s lagging share price.Osisko Mining Corp. (TSX:OSK). Miner. Up 11 cents, or 1.31 per cent, at $8.50 on 7,348,076 shares. Osisko says it will have to shut down its Canadian Malartic mill for as long as three weeks after a fire broke out late Wednesday night.Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Insurer. Up one cent, or 0.08 per cent, at $12.20 on 6,465,265 shares.Viterra Inc. (TSX:VT). Grain-handler. Down one cent, or 0.06 per cent, at $15.97 on 4,760,100 shares.Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Up 23 cents, or three per cent, at $7.90 on 4,435,983 shares.Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Oil and gas. (TSX:MG). Auto manufacturing. Up 96 cents, or 2.25 per cent, at $43.64 on 1,438,304 shares. Magna is so optimistic about an improving trend in the global auto industry that it has boosted its 2012 outlook to project a record year of sales for its auto parts business. Canada’s largest auto parts maker, which keeps its books in U.S. dollars, said Thursday that it now expects to book between US$29 billion and $30.5 billion in sales this year.
